This Bob Savory introduction is renowned for its dark purple petioles, the color from which runs into the base of the shiny olive green leaves. It has been used extensively in breeding for red leaves. The 2' wide clump forms an upright vase shape when mature. In mid summer, the clump is topped with a truly stunning array of pinkish purple flowers...you've got to see it in flower to believe it!
