This 1993 hybrid of H. 'Christmas Tree' from the Lachmans has long and wide, dark green leaves surrounded by a wide, creamy white margin. The slightly glossy leaves have upturned edges forming "leaf canoes"... hence the name H. 'Showboat'. Each 30" wide clump is topped with 2' tall scapes of pale lavender flowers in late spring.
