This nice golden edge form of the dwarf Japanese species H. pulchella was discovered on the south side of Mt. Sobo in the Miyazaki Prefecture of Japan. Each 8" wide clump makes a perfect specimen plant for a woodland rock garden. In early summer, the clumps are topped with 10" scapes of purple flowers.
