Here is a hosta for those who appreciate a truly great hosta, even if it is neither bright nor showy. H. 'Phantom' (a H. 'Riptide' seedling) boasts very thick and heavily rippled green leaves with an overall greyish cast. Both the petioles and scapes are dusty purple. The 3' wide clump is topped with 30" tall scapes of light lavender flowers.
