Hosta 'Pandora's Box' is a 1999 Hans Hansen/Shady Oaks introduction that revolutionized miniature hostas and took "cute" to a whole new level. A sport of Hosta 'Baby Bunting', Hosta 'Pandora's Box' is one of the tiniest variegated hosta in existence. The quarter-sized, rounded, blue-green leaves sport a large dollop of pure white in their centers. In midsummer, the clumps are topped with equally small stalks of tiny, light lavender flowers...a treat for low-flying hummingbirds. This is not a plant for those who neglect their plants and should only be grown by serious collectors who will lavish attention on this tiny gem...for the rock or trough garden.
