Hosta 'Little Redneck' is a 2020 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a hybrid we created by combining Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears' with a dark purple-stemmed form of Hosta longipes. Hosta' Little Redneck' forms a compact 5" tall x 15" wide clump of 3" round, cardboard-thick, dark green leaves, held at the end of merlot red petioles. The tight clumps are adorned by dark purple stalks, topped, starting for us in late June with attractive clusters of light lavender flowers held just above the foliage.
