Hosta 'Lakeside Beach Captain' is a probable tetraploid sport of Mary Chastain's H. 'Lakeside Shore Master'. The thick, blue-green leaves are highlighted with a small, creamy yellow central pattern. The 15" tall x 38" wide clumps are topped in late spring with 20" scapes of near white flowers...a dynamite specimen plant.
