    We are thrilled to finally be offering this rare Japanese species for the true hosta collector (certified by the Genus Hosta author W. George Schmid). The seed were collected in 1995 by Dan Hinkley on Mt. Kiyosumi in the Chiba Prefecture of Japan. The textured green foliage also has a slightly serrate margin and stong veination on the leaf backs. The dark lavender flowers top the clump in midsummer.
