In the trade incorrectly as H. kikutii yakusimensis, this great fall blooming hosta species makes a near flat clump to 5" in height, spreading out to 18". The lance shaped green leaves show a very marked textural venation. The reddish black scapes hold the pale lavender flowers in very late summer,
