Here is one of the truly great heat tolerant hostas that slipped through the proverbial cracks. Hosta 'Iron Gate Delight', introduced in 1981 by North Carolina's own Van Sellers, has 5" long oval leaves with a very dramatic border that emerges gold, then changes over to cream. Hosta 'Iron Gate Delight' is a vigorous grower that matures into a spectacular 3' wide clump, further enhanced with extremely fragrant lavender flowers on 2' scapes in midsummer... basically an improved Hosta 'So Sweet'!
