(syn: H. 'Hirao 59') H. 'Hirao Splendor' has long been one of our favorite hostas...yes, I know it's green! The deeply-veined pointed leaves form an 18" wide arching clump that's topped in very late summer with sturdy, but arching spires of blue lavender flowers on 21" stems... great in leaf... spectacular in flower!
