We are very excited to introduce another fascinating creation from hosta breeder Hans Hansen as a 2018 Plant Delights Nursery exclusive. Hosta 'Hans Solo' is a tetraploid hosta (extra set of chromosomes), derived from a cross of Hosta 'Liberty' and a tetraploid Hosta 'Royal Standard'. This amazing hosta forms a 39" tall x 76" wide clump of 13" long x 8" wide, thick, black green leaves. Hosta 'Hans Solo' is topped in late July/early August with sturdy 5.5' tall, light sabre-like spikes of deliciously fragrant, light lavender flowers.
