Hosta 'Georgia Sweetheart' is an attractive sport of Hosta 'Captain Kirk' that we received from now-retired nurseryman Jim Anderson in 2007 mislabeled, as many of Jim's plants were, as a sport of Hosta 'American Sweetheart'. Hosta 'Georgia Sweetheart' makes a beautiful 1' tall x 2' wide clump of dark green leaves, each highlighted by a large central pattern that emerges bright yellow and ages to cream yellow in summer. Because of the large amount of white in the leaf, more morning sun is helpful to maintain its vigor.
