Hosta 'Deliverance' is a Plant Delights introduction with a sordid sexual background involving trysts with Hosta longissima, 'Swoosh', 'Red Neck Heaven', and 'Elvis Lives'. That strange combination of genes produced a 1' tall x 30" wide clump of long, tapering, undulating blue-green leaves, bordered with stripes of yellow...reminiscent of the rapids in its namesake movie. Hosta 'Deliverance' clumps are topped in early summer with 2' tall scapes of lavender hummingbird-friendly flowers. You'll be so happy, you'll squeal like a pig!
