Origin: Hybrid
Roy Herold's 1996 introduction is a H. longipes var. hypoglauca x H. 'Maruba Iwa' hybrid that has been on everyone's want list...at least those searching for red petioled hostas. The glaucous green leaves are backed with luscious white, contrasting nicely with the cinnamon red petioles (front and back). The 20" wide clumps are topped in early fall with light lavender flowers on the bright red scapes.
