Dormancy: Winter
Height: 12" tall
Origin: Hybrid
This mutation of Hosta 'True Blue' makes a 30" wide clump of corrugated, dark blue leaves, each surrounded by a nice chartreuse gold border. I was entranced when I first saw Hosta 'Blue River' in Roy and Sarah Klehm's garden, and I'm equally delighted that we are able to offer it to our customers. In early summer, the clumps are topped with 20" scapes of white flowers.
