Hibiscus 'Cherry Cheesecake' is a 2013 introduction...a hybrid of the US native Hibiscus moscheutos from the amazing Walters Gardens breeding program. Hibiscus 'Cherry Cheesecake' forms a clump of deciduous stems that rise to 5' tall, clothed with green three-lobed leaves and large 7" wide flowers that emerge from the leaf axils starting in July. Each flower is composed of a base of ruffled, creamy white petals and adorned with a prominent central raspberry blotch from which pink veins radiate into the petals. A lighter raspberry blush appears around the petal edge...a nice touch.
