(Norton 1947) We have a passion for taller flowering daylilies, and one of our long-time favorites is Hemerocallis 'Richard'. The 4' tall stalks on this deciduous, late-season daylily are topped with bright orange flowers with a darker orange blush, a lighter orange throat, and a contrasting narrow white stripe down the middle of each petal. Flowering typically starts in August, and continues until early fall. Hemerocallis 'Richard' is a 1947 Norton introduction, a hybrid of the durable Hemerocallis fulva.
