Have you tried Helleborus 'Ruby Glow' yet? Grey-green leaves with silver veins, ruby red stems and pink outfacing flowers...you'll love this new Christmas rose hybrid that forms a 12" tall x 18" wide clump and starts blooming in mid-February. This new introduction comes from Holland's Amazing Breeders Company and appears to be a cross of Helleborus x ericsmithii backcrossed to either Helleborus lividus or Helleborus x sternii. This backcross resulted in more serrate foliage and more silver leaf veining than in typical Helleborus x ericsmithii, but this probably comes with a slight reduction in winter hardiness.
