We have grown this little known ginger for several years under the misspelled name 'Kanogie'. One of our favorites, the strong 6' tall stalks are topped in late summer with stunning 1' tall flower heads of large, butterscotch-orange, fragrant flowers. The flower color is quite unique among the gingers we grow, and a plant in full flower is a crowd stopper. You are probably wondering what a Kin Ôgi is, and, no, he wasn't the old dude from Star Wars. Oh darn, Dennis just discovered that "Kin" means gold and "Ôgi" means plant.
