Gentiana andrewsii 'Milk Bottles' is a rare white-flowered strain of the US native (Canada south to NC) closed gentian. The 18" tall, wispy stems are adorned with glossy green leaves and topped, starting for us in September with terminal clusters of flowers resembling white milk bottles...if anyone still remembers what those looked like. Gentiana andrewsii 'Milk Bottles' has thrived in our hot, humid summers, growing in part sun in slightly acidic soil. Imagine how happy it would be with its preferred frigid winters and more alkaline soil.
