Euphorbia 'Canyon Gold' is a fabulous, but little-known, Euphorbia characias hybrid, introduced in 1998 by the former Canyon Creek Nursery. The 2' tall clumps are topped with whorls of mauvy green foliage, which is strongly infused with purple during the cooler months.In late February, the terminal flowers open chartreuse. Well-drained soils, and sun are required for success with this short-lived perennial. We recommend starting new plants from cuttings every couple of years.
