Eryngium planum 'Blue Glitter' is a fascinating member of the carrot family that forms a basal rosette which is topped from June through September with 30" tall branched flower stalks of prickly blue flowers. Eryngium planum 'Blue Glitter' is best in dry, sunny sites, where it produces enough butterfly-attractive flowers to enjoy both in the garden as well as in a vase. Eryngium planum 'Blue Glitter' is a 2007 Fleuroselect Gold Medal winner.
