In spring, the large, light lavender flowers (darker toward the tips) are held atop the scrumptious, dark-purple foliage of this excellent Japanese hybrid. After flowering, the new growth changes to green and tops the old flowers, eventually making a 16" tall specimen. This clumping selection is superb as a deer-resistant woodland groundcover for spring color.
