Our offering of Echinopsis formosa var. amaichensis comes from our friends at Yucca Do (collection #D26-55), but originally came from seed from 9,000' elevation in Argentina's northern Tucuman Province. For us, Echinopsis formosa var. amaichensis has survived our brutal 2014 winter in great shape. Echinopsis formosa var. amaichensis makes a 1' tall x 1' wide thick green barrel, closely resembling Echinopsis bruchii. Dry soils in winter are best for survival in cold climates.
