This 1990's introduction, whose translated name means "yellow harbinger", was introduced in 1990 by Jelitto Seed. Klaus Jelitto first saw these plants at the Berggarten-Hannover Botanic Garden in Germany, originally collected by their head gardener on Croatia's vowel-less KrK Island. The compact evergreen rosette is topped from June-August with giant 5' tall spikes of small yellow flowers, flecked with brown. This particular form has more yellow in the flowers than is typical in the species.
