(aka: Cardamine 'Come Pewter') Dentaria 'Come Pewter' is a 2022 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a hybrid toothwort, which we think is a cross between two Eastern US natives, Dentaria diphylla and Dentaria heterophylla. Dentaria 'Come Pewter' emerges in early February (NC) with mitt-shaped pewter-silver foliage that forms a 4" tall x 15" wide clump. The 5" tall stalks of white bell-shaped flowers top the clump, starting for us in late February. Average to rich woodland soils are best. The perennial dentarias are spring ephemerals, usually going to sleep by May.
