Cortaderia selloana 'Silver Comet'

Cortaderia 'Silver Comet' is an outstanding, but hard to find variegated leaf selection of the Argentine pampas grass, Cortaderia selloana. This gem originated as a seedling at a small nursery in Victoria, Australia. The narrow foliage on this 48" tall clumper is banded with white edges, while the base of the leaves sports a brilliant dark purple... a cool contrast. In late summer, the clumps are topped with the typical pampas plumes. Our plant has survived 0 degrees F with only minor damage.
