Conradina sp. nov. 'Styx Greenlow' is a Bob McCartney (Woodlanders Nursery) discovery of a new, still unpublished species of shrub mint that he discovered in a sandy soil, cutover area along the Styx River in southern Alabama. The very fragrant, dark green, needle-like foliage forms a dense evergreen groundcover, perfect for well-drained soils in full sun. Conradina 'Styx Greenlow' is much more low growing that the upright Conradina canescens. In spring, the clumps are adorned with hundreds of small purple flowers.
