    C. 'Hot Lips' is a Dale Hendricks improved selection of pink turtlehead that has wonderful shiny green foliage (bronze tint as it emerges in spring) against a violet red stem. This vigorous selection reaches 2-3' in late summer, when it is topped with stalks of pink snapdragon like flowers. Pink turtlehead is native in the mountainous regions of the state, where it thrives along stream banks as well as in rich forest habitats.
