This unique Kojima strain of hardy calanthe orchids (Calanthe discolor x Calanthe sieboldii x Calanthe aristulifera x Calanthe tricarinata) produces flowers that are white to cream, rarely with a burgundy throat or lip...each seedling is different. The large, pleated, green basal leaves serve as a nice backdrop for the 10" tall flower stalks in mid-April (NC). Average to slightly moist woodland soils are best.
