Calanthe 'Kojima Violet' is a lovely seed strain of the hybrids of Calanthe aristulifera, C. discolor, C. sieboldii, and C. tricarinata. The semi-evergreen large flat ground-hugging foliage gives rise in early to mid-April (NC) to 10" tall stalks, adorned with creamy white and lavender to violet flowers. Average to slightly moist woodland soils are best.
