(aka: Buddleia Budher99) Buddleia 'Butterfly Gold' is an amazing butterfly bush that we enjoy as much for the foliage as the flowers. The 7' tall x 7' wide, densely-branched specimen is clothed with small but stunning creamy-edged leaves. From a distance of 10', you have no idea it's a butterfly bush. In our full sun trial, we have not observed any foliar burning, as long as the soil has some moisture. Starting in late June (NC), the small, light lavender flower panicles, which are slightly fragrant, add to the show. This amazing creation comes from the UK's Judy Hurley, who discovered it as a seedling. It was introduced as being sterile, and so far, we haven't seen any sign of seedlings.
