Bergenia 'Apple Blossom' PP 15,101

I've killed more bergenias than Firestone has recalled tires, so we were really excited when we heard that plant breeder Robin White of the UK was now using the heat-loving Chinese Bergenia emeiensis in his breeding program. B. 'Apple Blossom' (B. emeiensis x B. 'Britton') makes a large, glossy, evergreen rosette typical of other bergenias. In spring, the clumps are topped with amazing 18" tall, reddish flower spikes of large, 1.5", light pink bells. This is a stunner and one that we can actually grow in regions with warm summers...hurrah!
