Arisarum vulgare 'Lady Lakki' is a 2025 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of our 2010 collection of friar's cowl, from Crete's Chania prefecture, near the town of Lakki. This is the most vigorous selection of the summer-dormant Arisarum vulgare we've ever grown. The 4" tall leaves emerge in fall, are lightly flecked with silver, and grow all winter. For us, most forms of Arisarum vulgare flower in early spring, but this amazing form reblooms more reliably, starting in October and continuing into spring, with small, purple and white striped, jack-in-the-pulpit like flowers. Dry soils in light shade to part sun is best. In good conditions, a 10 year old patch will spread to 2' wide.
