(aka: Thalictrum thalictroides) Anemonella thalictroides 'Shiozaki' is a delightful Japanese selection of the North American native rue anemone that forms a compact 6" tall, rock garden-sized, deciduous clump. Anemonella 'Shiozaki' emerges in early March (NC) with light green foliage that's topped with 1" wide double flowers that open white and age to pinkish lavender. Although tolerant of average-to-dry soils, anemonella is thrilled to have a soil that stays moist.
