(Thalictrum thalictroides) Anemonella 'Kikuzaki Pink' is a new Japanese selection of the Eastern US native rue anemone. Anemonella thalictroides 'Kikuzaki Pink' is a 6" tall, rock garden-size spring ephemeral which emerges for us in February, topped in March and April with clusters of small, semi-double rich pink flowers that resemble miniature chrysanthemums. The flowers are nicely displayed against the small maidenhair fern-like green foliage. Light shade to part sun in the morning is perfect, and although drought tolerant, a rich, average moisture soil produces the best plants.
