Agave x pseudoferox 'Supersize' is a 2026 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a clonal selection from our seed strain Agave 'Bluebell Giants'. Agave 'Bluebell Giants' resulted from a 2014 cross of our largest Agave x protamericana with another giant, Agave x pseudoferox 'Bellville'. Our goal was to produce the largest known, Zone 7b winter hardy agave in existence. While many of the offspring we planted were not winter hardy, this clone stood out both for hardiness and size. Our original, vigorously offsetting clone, planted in 2016 reached 6' tall x 9' wide in seven years, so give this plenty of space. The large blue leaves have excellent bud imprinting.
