(Agave neomexicana KJS 362) Thanks to Colorado plantsman Kenton Seth for sharing seed of his collection from a population of giant, 4' wide plants of Agave parryi ssp. neomexicana from Culberson County, Texas. These are dramatically larger and more vigorous than any other form of Agave parryi ssp. neomexicana that we've tried. In situ, the plants were isolated from other century plants, but in the seedlings, we see evidence of genes from Agave lechuguilla, and consequently a few resemble their hybrid Agave x gracilipes. Agave parryi ssp. neomexicana is always water sensitive, but so far, these are quite amazing in their tolerance of our wet, humid climate. These are a very limited offering.
