This century plant offering comes from seed we purchased as Agave lechuguilla, but upon growing the plants, it was obvious these were actually hybrids between Agave lophantha and Agave lechuguilla...hence the hybrid name, Agave x lechuphantha. The large, fast-growing rosettes are composed of shiny green leaves, each banded with a central chartreuse stripe. The leaf backs are adorned with small vertical flecks from the Agave lechuguilla parent. We anticipate that these will make 1' tall x 2' wide, fast-offsetting rosettes. We only have a limited number of these to share, since we've planted so many of these in our own gardens to watch.
