Agave gypsophila 'Marginata' is the rare margined form of the gypsum century plant, which hails from alkaline, gypsum-laden soils in southern Mexico. Each powder blue leaf is surrounded by a narrow, but irregular creamy yellow margin. In cultivation, Agave gypsophila usually flowers in 5-7 years, yielding small clonal plantlets from the flower stalk which form after the flowers fade.
