Agave felgeri is a relative of Agave parviflora that hails from rocky slopes in Sonora, Mexico on the East side of Bahia San Carlos at coastal elevations less than 100'. Agave felgeri forms 15" wide offsetting clumps of narrow grey green, white marked leaves, adorned with white filifers (hairs). Agave felgeri is more robust than the better-known Agave parviflora, and matures more quickly...often less that five years. At maturity, it'stopped with an 8' tall spike of yellow flowers. Agave felgeri was discovered by botanist Richard Felger, and subsequently named for him.
