Agave bracteosa 'Calamar' is a Pat McNeal selection of the mountain-dwelling, northern Mexico native, Agave bracteosa, selected for its paucity of offsets. Agave bracteosa 'Calamar' forms a 2' wide x 18" tall rosette of scabrous, light-green, narrow, spineless leaves. In form Agave bracteosa 'Calamar' resembles a squid in rigor mortis...very un-agave like.
