We have been quite impressed with Achillea coarctata in the garden since 2020. This dwarf, spreading yarrow is native to rocky slopes, from the Balkans to Turkey. The cutleaf, fragrant, silver foliage makes a fabulous deciduous groundcover, topped, starting for us in mid-April with 15" tall stalks of bright yellow flower heads. Our offering is from a population in Konavska Planina, Bulgaria.
