Welcome Raising Rarities Customers!
Plant Delights Nursery is happy to announce the acquisition of Raising Rarities and to welcome their customers who may be visiting PDN for the first time. We share Raising Rarities' commitment to offering the best available cypripedium varieties in a responsible manner, offering only flowering-sized plants that are nursery seed propagated. We'd like to publicly thank Roger for being a shining example of a nurseryman who cared passionately about his plants and his customers! We wish him success as he moves into the world of art.
About Plant Delights Nursery and Juniper Level Botanic Garden
We are a small, family-owned, mail-order nursery, established in 1986, offering unique, rare, well-grown, and properly-named perennials to passionate gardeners around the world. Despite being best known as a mail-order nursery, we actually exist for our work as a private 28-acre botanical garden (Juniper Level Botanic Garden or JLBG), spiritual retreat center, and plant research facility focusing on ex-situ plant conservation, plant exploration, breeding, and propagation. We have had several new plant species named from our collections, with more in the pipeline.
Since our inception, JLBG has been conserving the world’s rarest plants through propagation and distribution with support from Plant Delights Nursery. We now currently display over 27,000 taxa (different kinds of plants). We are working towards opening as a full-time public botanical garden and spiritual retreat center for all to enjoy.
Cypripedium for Sale
We are excited to be able to offer for sale some of the very rare and wonderful Frosch hybrid Lady Slipper orchids from Germany. We have chosen the easiest to grow of the cypripedium species and the most vigorous cypripedium hybrids. We are pleased to offer an increasing selection of nursery-propagated species and hybrid cypripedium for sale. Our current offerings are listed below.
