The upright, stoloniferous Salvia uliginosa displays a beautiful cloud of clear, light-blue flowers from June (NC) through fall with an open and airy habit...one of our favorites! While bog sage is at home in a moist setting, ours has thrived for more than 20 years on a dry, unirrigated roadside bank where it doesn't spread as fast or get as tall.
