This is truly one of the most elegant (and user-friendly) deer-resistant yuccas for the garden, and certainly one of the most hardy of the trunk-forming species. The narrow, powder-blue foliage radiates out from the head of the central stalk like one of those "Rostrata-farian" hairdos. In 10 years, expect a 4' trunked specimen (eventually to 10'+) that will branch with age...much faster in alkaline soils. The species name rostrata refers to the fruit, which truly resembles the beak of a bird.
