We think this new Norman Beal selection will be a great addition to the garden if comments from visitors to our garden have been any indication. This hybrid between the white and purple forms of V. canadensis has given us a flower of a seemingly luminescent white with a tinge of light lilac... darker lilac as the nights cool (RHS color 85C)... a great shade for designers. V. 'Lilac Time' has the bushy spreading habit of true V. canadensis but without the aggressive nature of some of the hybrids.
