This stunning native is the most showy and probably the best recognized of the trilliums. Native from Canada to northern Georgia, Trillium grandiflorum has a wide range of climatic tolerance. Starting for us in mid April, Trillium grandiflorum emerges from a thick rhizome with a single stem topped with three horizontally held green leaves. Above the foliage sits a vertically held three-petaled white flower, accented by yellow stamens in the center. Trillium grandiflorum grows best in rich woodland conditions, but can tolerate a wide range of moisture regimens. Our offerings are 6-7 year old, flowering-sized, nursery seed propagated plants.
