    This Bluebird Nursery introduction is an all-gold sport (often with tiny green lines) that originated from T. hirta 'Variegata'. The hairy chartreuse foliage tightly clothes the 15" stalks and this eventual 2' wide clumper. In fall, every leaf axil is home to a nickel-sized, orchid-like flower...a white background with dramatic purple specks and a purple ring at the inside base of the flower. This contrast between the foliage and the flower is superb...best as a mass!
